Wine Director/Sommelier Amy Yancey of Urban Wren in Greenville, South Carolina is a long-time oenophile turned career sommelier who is a student of the dynamic craft. While her deep love and vast knowledge stretch far beyond the thresholds of the celebrated eatery, since joining the celebrated Urban Wren team, she has taken the wine program by storm and further developed it into a highly sought-after, all-encompassing experience for wine connoisseurs, first-timers, and everyone in between. 

In recent years, Amy has been responsible for personalized wine clubs (within and outside of Urban Wren), private 'blind' tastings and educational experiences, tailor-made beverage consulting + procurement of first-rate wines for both Urban Wren's exclusive wine locker members, as well as her private clients through Pocket Somm GVL (@pocketsommgvl), and so much more. As a proficient wine steward, Amy cherishes her many credentials which include but are not limited to the Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier and a Level 3 qualification in the globally-recognized Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), among others.
